God or Money?

I rarely do this, but there has been a heightened level of requests for the resources we produced for yesterday's talk on finances.

So...

  • If you have 43 minutes to spare, you can watch the talk here.
  • Download our fasting material & Life Inventory here.
  • Read my thoughts on serving God or Money here.

Man, that is a lot of "here's" eh?

Whew.

Slices of Life Starts Tomorrow

SOL Starting tomorrow I will be blogging over at Slices of Life.ca. This blog will be used for my personal life and thoughts, while I will focus my ministry writings over at slices.

Here is the breakdown on the new blog.
  • One Topic.
  • Three Bloggers.
  • Different Perspectives.
  • Once a week we are all going to answer 3 questions related to the topic being currently discussed.
Then...

In February two of us are putting together weekly short talks (under 3 minutes), again, based on the topic being discussed. Think of them as a talks-to-go.

See you over at Slices of Life.

Fallen

1049779 We've fallen in 2008...and I am not sure if we can get up in 2009 for the playoffs?

Last Post of 2008

Goodbye 2008. You were a good, hard, funny, sad, and interesting year.

Hello 2009.

I am working on a few resolutions for New Years, but more than that, I need to have a God-inspired theme for the year. For me, that is for 2009 to be marked by...humility.

Humility as a man, husband, parent, & pastor.

That theme is being interwoven into my resolutions for 2009. I believe that God will make me stronger, sharper, sensitive, and...I just can't come up with another "s" word :-)

Happy New Year.

Innovation

Air-sickness-media-player-mount Here is the heart of innovation.

Find a creative, no/little cost solution to an existing problem and execute.

If this can be found on an airplane using a barf bag, chances are it is also fully present where your life/church/organization resides.

Innovation is seldom more but always different.

House Update

HOUSE Lori and I conditionally sold our home today...pending inspection. Everything will be final on or before January 6th, so there are still a few more days to wait.

We are both thrilled and delighted in all that God has provided and taught us in this process. I believe in any step of faith there is both provision to be received and principles to be understood.

Slices of Life.ca

When I resume blogging in January, I am going to be teaming up with a few other authors. The new blog is called Slices of Life and the heart behind it is going to be spiritual discussions, as they pertain to daily lives, produced with the sole purpose of growing you in your relationships with others and as a follower of Christ in under 3 minutes. Think of them as weekly talks only…to go.

Here is the video that explains our new blog in a bit more detail...of course its under 3 minutes.
